Robot Duck LLC ("we," "us," or "our") develops iOS applications focused on aviation utilities, educational tools, and games. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our apps.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, location, or device identifiers.
Our apps may collect anonymous, non-identifiable usage data — such as feature usage frequency, session duration, and crash reports — to help us understand how the apps are used and to improve them. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
We may use third-party analytics tools that process only anonymous data. We do not sell, trade, or share any data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Our apps do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Because we collect no PII, our apps are designed to be safe for all ages.
PTT uses your device's microphone and on-device speech recognition (Apple's SFSpeechRecognizer) to transcribe and score your aviation radio calls. All audio processing happens entirely on your device — no audio, transcripts, or scoring data is transmitted to Robot Duck LLC or any third party. Microphone access is used only while you are actively recording a practice call, and no recordings are stored after processing.
WxTrainer is an aviation weather education app that operates entirely offline. It makes no network connections and collects no data of any kind. Topic progress is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. App preferences (such as onboarding state and last viewed topic) are stored locally using UserDefaults. No information is transmitted to Robot Duck LLC or any third party.
TieDown is a fleet management app for small flight schools and aircraft partnerships. Unlike our other apps, TieDown requires an account and syncs data to our servers.
Your data is used solely to provide the TieDown service — syncing fleet records across your organization's devices, enforcing role-based permissions, and processing subscription billing. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
TieDown data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Workers, D1, and R2) in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Organization administrators can delete aircraft, flight records, and other fleet data from within the app. To delete your account entirely, email support@robotduck.app.
Our applications are intended for educational and informational purposes only. They are not certified aeronautical navigation or flight planning tools and must not be used as a substitute for official charts, publications, certified avionics, or instruction from a qualified flight instructor. Always comply with applicable FAA regulations and airspace requirements.
